Educated at Radley College and Magdalene College, Cambridge.  Widowed with two grown up children.  Chartered Accountant specialising in corporate finance and business restructuring in the UK and overseas. School governor for 15 years, of which nine at Monmouth.  Elected to Court of Assistants of the Haberdashers' Company in 1992, participating in all major committees and has been a Warden.  Hobbies: riding, hunting, gardening, fishing, music, architecture, skiing. Lives in Hampshire.  First appointed 1995.
