Two Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools’ pupils took part in the World Youth Chess Championships 2011 in Caldas Novas in Brazil. This event attracted over a thousand of the brightest young chess talent from all corners of the globe. Nyasha, a Form I pupil at Monmouth School, represented Wales in the Under 12 Boys category while Stephanie, who is in Year 5 at Inglefield House, battled it out in the Under 10 Girls section.
