Congratulations to Piers and Helen who have both been selected to join the Welsh debating team.  They will head off to South Africa to compete in the World Debating Championships in January.

DEBATING NEWS

At the Cambridge Union Schools’ Debating Competition regional round  (held at Howell’s School, Cardiff, on Friday) both our teams were successful.

Piers and Helen (HMSG) had a convincing triumph over the three other teams in their group.

Meanwhile Alex and Alisdair combined effectively to beat some very able teams in their knockout group.

Both our teams progress to the next round, the last hurdle before the illustrious finals at Cambridge University.
